My Scary True Tale

It was near midnight when a strange vehicle pulled up into our yard, I was only twelve at the time and my dad wasn't home, just my brother,Jeremy, and my mom,Beverly was home. we looked out the window and watched a dark figure get out of the car, It was a normal size young man with the scariest dull look on his face. The look of a psycho. He pulled out a knife and started walking around the house counting "one, two,three" he walked all around. We kept watch to see what he is trying to do. He completely walked around our house and carved something in a tree in front of our house. Mom went to get dads gun, and my brother started crying in his room of horror. I swear that after he carved something in our tree he looked dead at me and vanished, his car vanished as well. Mom came and asked me where he was and I told her he vanished in thin air, she believed me but dad didn't believe any of us when he came home from work.

That morning, I went to the tree that he carved something on and what I saw I will never forget. He had written "I see you, Jacob."

Elmer's Bridge

June 22nd 1945, Elmer Murdle was driving home from work around 1:30 at night, He took the curve on 176th street right after Bluff Road and rolled his car into the ditch and died under the bridge. Local folklore says that if you go to this bridge at 1:30 at night you can see his car come around the curve roll down the ditch and burst into flames.

I Don't Know What it Would Be

This happened about three four years ago when some friends and I stayed with a friend. We were all up and we watched a movie then it was over and we were just playing around with each other then the friend we were staying with acted like she was going slap one of the friends that she was having stay over and about three seconds later it showed the hand print on her face... I was like OMG! how is that then they tried doing it to the other girls that were there I mean I'm 17 years old I like to hear about ghost stories and I would hate to have them happen to me I really wouldn't know what I would do or react to it.

Then after that we all went into the girls computer room and we closed the door they said they heard scratching at the door yeah we heard! then they opened it up and we saw like a red glow down at the end of the hall way in the girls room that we were staying at and I was freaked out I was crying and they said it was fine I was like no what if this thang hurts one of us then its not fine I was freaked out to ever stay there again!

Psychic or Just Weird?

Four weeks ago I was sat out in the woods on my with my friends when suddenly I felt a breeze brush my hair. I looked over at a tree and saw a boy about my age. No-one else could see him though. He smiled a kind smile then nodded and left. I followed him curious. Fortunate for me he seemed to want me to follow him. He handed me a piece of paper that said: I'm not the same as you.

It still fascinates me out today. What did he want?

I have seen him three times since. Each time he smiles. On the last time I saw him he said "Hello my name is Tom"

Is My Brothers Room Haunted?

When my brother was 5 he went to sleep and after a couple of hours he woke up to find an old lady hovering in his room!

He was scared at first and thought it was his mind playing tricks on him, but when he came down stairs in the morning and told my mother what he had seen, my mother instantly thought that it could have been her Nana (my great Nana) as the old lady had black curly hair and no legs (because she had a operation on them when she was alive). The old lady was waving at my brother and he hid under his blanket, although he thought it wasn’t real.

This story is true, my brother hasn’t seen any other strange ghostly figures since and he is 7 now. So do you think it was his mind playing tricks on him or do you think it was my great Nana?

Death

I was on the phone to my father and we got talking about a cat that my father once owned and died after getting run over by a car. My family has a record of cats getting run over by cars. He said that his cat flap opened all of a sudden so I said it was his dead cat. But the thing is all the cats my family had owned had died at a specific spot on a road in my home town of St Neots. I wonder if that on the spot a ghost is taking all the cats that walk over it as revenge for walking on it.

The Empty Shed

During spring break, I was watching TV and suddenly my cousins and brother came running into the house. They were screaming and one of them was jumping up and down and yelling, "Oh my gosh!" We asked them what happened and they told us something weird.

They said they were playing outside in the backyard and one of my cousins was near the shed that our grandpa built. She looked in the window on the side of it and got scared when she saw our grandpa's face in it. She called over my brother and other cousin to check if it was real and they saw it too. They got really freaked out and ran inside when they realized it was empty.

The trippy part for me was, about a couple of weeks later, our grandpa died.

Ghost Hospital

my mums friend wanted a house in the country so she went to have a look in this old hospital turned into a flats she was a bit put of buy it being a hospital but still went to have a look wile she was there she felt like she was being followed and she stared to get pins and needles and she felt really funny after they looked around the estate agent left her and her partner to chat and they were talking until they herd footsteps they ignored it because they thought it was the estate agent but when they looked out the window he was standing out there reading the paper so they looked down the wall and saw a strange figure run off she got really creeped and held onto her partner they then heard a door slam and they yelled hello but there was no reply so they ran out to find the estate agent and told him they refused to buy the house and gave up looking. Ever since then they have felt really strange and felt like something or someone was there watching them.

Weird Beach House

When I was vacationing in the outer banks, I stayed in a beach house (of course). one night I was alone, my girlfriend ran to get some ice cream from the local store, so I was alone with my dog playing computer games. what I'm saying is real,I DID NOT make it up! I hear a scream, this loud, gurgly scream, sounding like a young woman. I walked out onto the deck and didn't hear anything. so I want into the bottom closet and got a crowbar and circled the beach house. nothing. later that night my dog started barking at our bedroom. when I reviewed the photos to post on a travel sight, I noticed a picture I had taken of our room had some mysterious things. I saw a very large orb. this one was more unusual than any orb I've seen. in a picture of the pool room, there were 13 balls on the table. in all the other pictures, there were 7, the rest were in the sockets. also, I pic I took on the beach shows the ocean at low tide, when the ocean was really at high tide. weird.

The Bloody Man in Black

I saw this man in my room, which was really dark. Near my wardrobe, at the corner, I saw it with my own eyes. I didn't have my camera then. I loved to share with you. You see, when I woke up the next morning, I can't remember if it's a dream or not. It was really in between. He was black, with big, red, bloody spots. It was really disgusting. I hid behind my covers and slept. This is a real story... For those who don't, it's okay... even though I'm a Christian, I think I believe it.

The Ghost on the Stair Case

It started off as a awesome, fun filled night when my family and I were watching "The Grudge 2" After the movie was over we were all on our way to bed when I saw a whisp of a white thing. I ran and told my mother and she said" Lauren there are no such thing as ghosts and if there were the only reason they would make themselves noticed would be if they needed help." So being patient I went to my room and layed down.I kept hearing whispers of "Lauren, Lauren!" The next day I was walking down the stairs and at the bottom step I turned around to see a man. He saw me and vanished.the next time that I saw something was when I was sitting at my computer. I saw a shadow run across the wall. My brothers , after about a week of me seeing shadows started seeing the man ,too. My brothers are prone to seeing things because Chad is only 8 and Broden is only 5 but for me an 11 year old to see a ghost I must be accident prone! Ever since the day of November 12 I haven't seen the man or the ghost who haunts my dreams!

UFO Sightings

A lot of UFO Sightings are sighted in my country, Singapore. I had never saw one in my life, but one day my life is becoming more and more scarier! I saw it about last month. When me and my family are going home after dinner out side, I spotted a round thing in the sky. I can't see it clearly, but when it came nearer, I realized I was a UFO! I screamed and screamed. My parent's look up at where I was looking at, and to screamed! My brother just look up and opened his mouth, and screamed... but no sound came out. Peo ple passing by thought that we were crazy, but when they look up they screamed too!

The UFO landed about in Tampines. Out came 2 Aliens!! They were the most ugliest aliens I had ever seen in my whole life! Every body started cuddling each other. But we just ran all the way to the carpark, found our car and drove all the way home. And we never saw even one alien.

Ghostly Encounter

okay, I usually don't believe in ghosts, and I am not that religious, but this has really got me thinking. this one time I went over to my girls house and we were, um, kinda gonna do it, and just to let you know, I am 21, so anyway, I arrived, rung the doorbell and she didn't answer. so I go around to the back and I see someone in the back looking at me. I didn't no who he was so I just left. when I called my girl, she was real mad or something, so we broke up. a few weeks after that, I was over at my buds house and we like went hunting. but when we were out there, we heard footsteps. I automatically assumed it was an animal, but I said we should go back anyway. and as we were going back, we seen the outline of a girl in a dress dancing, but as we came closer she disappeared. we kept on walking and we seen what looked like a guy jump off a tower. ever since then I'm still wondering about ghosts. I just hope that doesn't happen again.

Is it Me or the Houses?

First time I can remember ever believing in ghosts, feeling one, was in a old white 2 story house in a small old rinky dink town. I was 5 and something would always play with me but no one would be there, I've always felt it with me. Not an imaginary friend, something non-psychological.

My friends never came over because they said they didn't trust my house. Very weird. I got to the age 14 with the same feeling around and lived in apartments. Me and my best friend went home to do something when everyone was down the street. We swear we heard someone,something in my room and nobody was there, no pets, radio, TV, nothing! the rush came so hard that we had to leave ASAP, we couldn't catch a breathe, it was so scary.

Now I live in a house that I swear is haunted. Me and my 2 best guy friends were outside and looked at my window and no lie, we all 3 saw a little boy then later a little girl staring at us from the window, nobody was home, no pets, nothing.

Telephone Operator Ghost

I once worked as a security guard in 1993 in Wichita, KS and in that job worked in a Southwestern Bell 12 story telephone building at night. While I never saw the ghost, it is said a lady employee jumped off the building in a suicide in 1978 and became a ghost on the 7th floor, 6th floor was for the operators. One morning I was working two shifts and at 7 am the janitor crew came down and said they had seen the ghost and were scared stiff.

I sometimes did patrol in the building at night and never saw her fortunately.

When I asked other long-time employees about the ghost, they became real irritated and said 'They wouldn't mind giving me a hand off the building' Just like that, but nothing ever happened to me. It is quite a famous ghost story in Wichita, Ks.

Cell Phone Ghost

Once in the midnight.Me and my family were searching for my cell phone but we couldn't find it.Suddenly with my cell phone somebody called on my dad's cell phone.The caller sounded like a baby and it was laughing.Again it called us, but it didn't answer.The ghost also recorded the sound of it's footsteps and breathe for knowing that it was a ghost who had the cell i guess.In the mornig we got the mobile. At last we got the cell phone on a table in the early morning, and we were very surprised.

My Mothers Ashes

I am hesitant about emailing you from the fear of sounding like a nut case! Can you direct me to someone that can help me? Since we moved into our home in 1992 we have been having unexplained things happen. I brought my mother's ashes home in 2005 and the activity has picked up considerably. Last night we were terrified by an unearthly scream at 2 am. Daily hear footsteps, muffled noises and the water in one bathroom will run at will. Thanks for any help you can give me.

one night as I was on the computer as usual ever ynight I started to realize that I had an unusual craving to see scary thing on the internet. so I started looking through websites to find stuff.I came over the cut and battered face of a girl named Regan from the movie the exorcist. later that night I went to bed. not knowing what was going to happen I felt a strange feeling as I layed down.I felt tugging on my covers and I felt the room got deathly cold.so I put on a sweater and went slowly to sleep. as I slept I had very scary nightmares of Regan. they were like subliminal messages of death by her hand and the last one scared me breathless, as I was sleeping I had a dream that I couldn't move,I couldn't open my eyes,and I could open my mouth but I couldn't utter a sound finally when I was able to open one single eye I started to lift up and she was there she was about seven feet tall I finally woke up I was shaken I heard a little girl laughing outside me bed room I thought it was my little sister I opened the door and there she was.Regan was standing right in front of me laughing as I stared into her eyes I saw it was kind of a transparent person I fainted when I awoke she was standing over me. she said"if you ever ever see me again on the computer ill kill you,I will slaughter you and leave you in the middle of your street" and I have never been the same since

The Bracelet

I was to stay with a friend and we all had to get around for a dance club, Her mother left hours before us to go to a bar, Well to start this out my friends mom asked to barrow a bracelet that her daughter had (very beautiful bracelet),Well she gave it to her and her mom left.As all of us got ready to leave her mom called and said she lost it, Well we went to the club for a couple of hours and got back about eleven.Her mom was still at the bar but my friend already new that her mom lost her bracelet, well she asked if we were hungry and we all said no. She said she was going to make her a bowl of cereal.

When she came back up I probly had a bite or two, Then I put the bowl of cereal on the stand,(Just probably the bracelet got lost at the bar). Well when she picked up the bowl of cereal and picked up the spoon, That bracelet was rapped around the spoon, I was so scared that was the worst thing that ever happened to me.

My Experiences with Ghosts

I'm twelve years old and in these twelve years I've had a number or paranormal experiences. The first that I can remember is when we were driving past a graveyard and I saw a transparent, shadowy figure standing behind a tombstone.

But the first truly frightening experience is the time that, late at night, as I was getting ready for bed, I heard the voice of a young girl sing a sort of chant. it wasn't like a voice in my head, it sounded like it was coming from the ceiling.

Another strange, but not scary experience is a time just this summer. I was in The Sound of Music. My grandfather had died the day before. I don't usually do this, but for some reason I felt the urge to look out into the audience. As I did, I saw my grandpa sitting in the fifth row, off to the side. I looked again a moment later, and he was gone. I guess he wanted to see the show before he crossed over.

The last, and most vivid encounter with a spirit was just last week. I was walking into my room, and I saw a maybe seven year old girl in a white nightgown with long, light blonde hair and pale, sickly skin standing looking at my dolls. When she saw me, she promptly vanished.

One night Saturday, October 11, 2008 we were sitting at Brianna's house (my friend) and her dad and mom was gone so it was just us in the house at that time. We like ghost hauntings and things so we thought it would be fun to get the tape recorder and try to see if we can pick up a connection with something. We tried doing that because her mom had told stories about the house. Things about it being haunted. Well we got the tape recorder and said "If there is someone here please say something or show a sign." We paused for a few seconds and then stopped the recording. Then we listened to it and we thought we heard something, we stood there shocked. So we played it again and we thought we heard something say "get out", it sounded like a scratchy voice or something. It was scary.

You Can't See Me, But I'm Here

In November 1997, My friend and co-worker Eric Smith, asked if I would like to visit a haunted house for the weekend. I told him he was crazy and that I would go but as a non-believer. My life changed that weekend. Little did I know that I was going to Oklahoma's most documented haunted house. My experiences there were nothing short of incredible and frightening to say the least.

Spirits who reside at the house would hurl objects, taken from the house itself, at anyone in it's path. One winter night, Eric and I were ran out of the house at 3:00 in the morning. The stomping and growling throughout the house was too much for us to handle, however we returned again and again.

We captured some incredible EVPs only to have them destroyed at the hands of the tireless spirits. Some sprits which haunt the house are extremely violent. My experiences were so compelling that I wrote and published "You Can't See Me, But I'm Here."

I continue to visit the family who reside with the spirits in the hopes of someday solving the mysterious paranormal haunting.

Cave of the Winds

The cave of the winds is a cave that a man built. I went there and I got to see how it was like. We got to hear some ghost stories. Our tour guide said that a woman didn't believe in any ghost when they were at the post card spot. And there was this huge hole for people from Wisconsin. The man that made that hole for people from Wisconsin because the man didn't like people from that state. The tour guide of the woman told the woman to go to the hole. When the woman looked over the hole she saw a man. she asked if the man needed help. the man nodded. he reached for her hand. when they touched hands he looked up. the woman screamed, because were there were suppose to be a face there was not. He had his skin torn off. she ran down to meat with the group. When she met up with the group the guide asked do you believe in ghost now. when the story was over our guide asked if any one wanted to go and look down the hole. I saw that there was no volunteers. Then I said I wonted to. so I went to look with no one behind me. I was trembling while I walked up there. I looked down the hole. and I saw no one. then I turned around and I saw a man and he had no face I was about to scream. but then he covered my mouth. then his face appeared and it was the man who made the cave. I did some research on him and it ends up that he died off being pushed down in to that hole. but I didn't figure out how he lost his face.

Ghost on the Couch

In my old house I had two couches in my livingroom. I had fallen asleep with my sister on one couch and the other one was blank. So, I wake up in the middle of the night unable to sleep.

And when I sit up in see a man laying down in the other couch with his hand on his head staring back at me! I was soooooooooo frightened. I didn't know what to do at first I thought it was my dad but why would he be there to begin with?

So I laid back down and see if I could sleep but I couldn't and every time I would check to see if it was still there he was! I didn't know what to do. I tried to wake my sister up but she didn't budge. I wanted to call my parents but I couldn't speak I was really scared. My other idea was to get up for the light but I had to pass by the freaky couch.

In the morning I tried to tell my parents but they did not believe me. I will never forget my experience.

The Ghost of Mr Williams

Mr. Williams is a ghost that always looked after me Laura McGuire. Mr. Williams was a very good friend and a neighbor. He died of a big hart attack. When I was a baby he always took care of me. When everyone was in the living room we herd pots and pans, making noise in the kitchen. My mom looked in the kitchen but nobody was there. It was Christmas day my whole family was at my house. I was sleeping in my crib when Mr. Williams came in. I must have looked cold to him. After all when a ghost is near you have a chill. Mr. Williams put a blanket over my whole body. My mom and my sister came in to look at me. They did not know why I had a blanket over my head. They were both scared at the time because, nobody went in the room. He also always use to change the radio station on my mom. Mr. Williams is a nice ghost I never here him any more.

The Headless Horseman

There were these five children in Greenwich,Pennsylvania. The date was October 31,1600. They were walking on a stone road and they walked under a bridge. They heard a high-pitched bark at the other end of the tunnel. It was a little Scottie dog. It had a little scarf on it. The children walked through the dark forest. A lady came up to them. She was looking for her lost Scottie dog. They pointed where they saw the dog. The night started to get foggy. The children couldn't see a thing! They heard the trotting of a horse. They were yelling and screaming for the person driving the carriage to stop! The man stopped. He had his coat buttoned up so you can't see his face. The man unbuttoned his coat. The children realized he has no head! In the back of the carriage was the lady who was looking for her dog! She apparently went mad! She grabbed the children and put them in the carriage! The headless horseman took them to his lab. He killed them by chopping off their heads! He took their heads and hung them from the ceiling along with the other heads. He chopped off the lady's head as well. There are some people who say that you can still hear the Scottie dog bark at night. Some say you can also hear the screams of the millions of people that the headless horseman killed!

The Faceless Ghost

I am Francesca. I am 14. I live in California with my family. It was like two years ago. We only live for women in the house. My mom, me and my two sisters. I lived in that house for like 11 years. but thank god! that we moved!

OK so my mom said I should take a shower twice a day and then that night I was taking a shower. the door was open because no one is downstairs they are all upstairs. and then the door was open right? I hear noises. and then I looked.then at stairs I saw this girl wearing white, she has black hair and short hair. she is like floating. I saw it outside the door. I looked at her face. its like blank. and then I panicked! I took a shower quickly and then I went upstairs quickly. and then I didn't tell anyone. they might think I'm crazy. and after that I asked my mom how old is that house. she said it was built in 1950's.

It is true, I'm not kidding.

Meeeeee!

It all started when me and friend were taking a bath in our swimsuits, but before we went into the bath we both had to go to the bathroom really really bad! So my friend went to the downstairs bathroom, and I went to the upstairs one. Then I was already in the tub and all of a sudden my sprinted up the stairs and said" did you hear that?" and I had no idea what she was talking about. She said something or someone screaming MEEEEE! This was especially scary because we were home alone. But then right before we were going to wash our hair we heard a louder and closer shriek. We were terrified! But right when we turned our back we saw a black shadow pass by our bathroom door and then heard footsteps coming to us! After that we ran downstairs in our towels and called my mom and she said she would be home in 20 minutes. Now to this very day we still wonder at that very moment. Please believe us.

The Ghost in the Mirror

When I was about five years old I lived on the Hobbins (A little village.)It was about nine at night when a face appeared in our bathroom mirror opposite my room.

The Next week it happened again but it was Halloween night and I couldn't sleep,so I went into my mom's room and I caught a glimpse of a ghost just like the ones had seen on a ghost pictures web. It was really scared.

Last night it happened again four years later I'm now nine but everyone says I've got a connection to someone who died twenty years. I'm just hopping it will not happen again.

Moving to a New House

we had just moved in about 3 years ago.my dad had died. it was just me and my mother.sometimes my brother had stayed with us. I wasn't really a big fan of sleeping in my own bed. it was around the month of august when my mother had asked for a sign,or to make a light turn. when she said that a light in the dinning room had turned on. we were amazed when this happened.

then one night my mom was asleep,I choice to sleep in my bed that night.the next morning when she got up she told me that she felt someone sitting on her bed rubbing her feet.

I'm Gonna Get You

My parents have been divorced since I was a baby. So I have to switch houses a lot. when this happened I was at my dads.

So one night when I was about 10 years old my dad asked me to go and get another gallon of milk out of the basement fringe. I hesitated because my dad all ways tries very hard to scare me. But NORMALLY it never works.

Well I started down the wooden stairs to the basement. I heard a rustling sound. I was about half way down the stairs. I stopped. I saw a dim glow come from were the fringe sits.

A ghostly figure started to run to the bottom of the stairs. what appeared to be its hands gripped the banister and it looked like it was ready to chase me up the stairs. I don't think I will ever run that fast again in my life. To this day my dad still doesn't believe me. But I also will never go or look down that stair case again.
