Shower Scars

As a child, I never grew up in a house that was completely mine. It always was an apartment or someone else's house. So you can understand when people accidentally leave things behind.

I had barely moved into a new apartment, quiet, and alone from everyone else.

Around 3 years old, I never experienced anything as I did, everyday when I took a shower. It seemed unusual at that time, to believe the things such as noise could be from someone else, other than my sister and my mom. But as I turned on the water, I began to hear noises like the TV, so initially I ignored it. Going about my business, I began to take a shower, and as the water began to heat up, I began to feel immense burning sensations around my arms and hands. As I looked at my arm, cuts began to appear on my skin, and the noises in the background, began to sound clearer, as if, whatever it was, was in the bathroom with me. The voices began to speak faster and louder, and then I screamed, because for some reason, I was confused; It felt as if the room was spinning. And I was afraid, that it was, was going to pull the curtain and reveal me to whatever it was. I ran out of the shower, my mom coming in the bathroom, showing her the cuts on my arms and hands and told her over and over, "something cut me, something cut me."

'Til this day, I hardly experience this anymore, but occasionally I have to admit, those cuts are found on my skin, after I get out of the shower.
