My Boyfriend was a Ghost

It was the first year of high school I was a new student. This school (which will not be named) was about 50 years old. Being a new student I had to impress the people around me. Which was very easy for me because my best friend Megan was there. she was the most popular girl in school she introduced me to all her friends and to some guys. There was one guy that I feel in love with and his name was Mark Duncan. He had green eyes and brown hair. He was very tall. The second day of high school he asked me out. Of course I said yes and we went out to the school fair. We had such a good time that we kept on going out until finally we became a couple. In socials class we had to do the history of the school and the main events before.

I went to the library and looked up the old school year books and the news paper clippings. As I looked through the papers from 1965 one article caught my eye. it read ' Boy dies with food poisoning.' I turned to the page and read more it said, ' In High school boy Mark Duncan dies after high school dance by food poisoning. Girlfriend Emily Sumon was charge on 1st degree murder....' I couldn't read on I ran to my locker and started to pack my bags. My boyfriend asked came to me and asked if I wanted to go with him to the school dance. I turned and walked away. He grabbed my hand and demanded me to go. I grabbed the ticket and ran home.

The next day was the school dance I told my friends about him being a ghost, but of course my friend thought I was crazy. So I went to the school dance. We had a blast. After the dance Mark dropped my of home and said goodbye. When we kissed the hairs on my back stood up and I felt a chill run down my spine I ran out of the car and went to my room and slept there. The nest day I went looking for Mark, but he was no where to be found. So instead I went to visit my Grandpa's grave that was by the school. After a moment of silence I turned to look at the other tomb stone that's when the color of my face disappear. On the tomb stone wrote..... R.I.P Mark Duncan 1951-1965

May Mark Duncan R.I.P. even though you were dead I still loved you.
